June is the month for strengthening drawing. Unlike the usual drawings, this time they used a tool called a descaler. A descaler is a tool used to check the balance of the general composition and outline shapes. It is used when deciding on the composition of a motif or checking angles. However, the A4 (A size) descalers used by the children are not commercially available, so the instructors made them by hand. (Students aiming to enter Asahioka High School when they reach junior high school use a B size descaler.)
Using this descaler, I cut out and draw the bottle I want to draw among the bottles lined up on the desk, as well as the bottle next to it that is slightly visible.
It was heartwarming to see the children working hard to use the descaler, with one eye closed, and those who couldn't draw had one eye covered, and they were able to draw good sketches by carefully and thoroughly observing the details.
