Partial reproduction of Ito Jakuchu's "Rising Sun and Rooster." This is a project that challenges you to do something difficult.
On the first day, you will draw an exact copy with a pencil. If you draw it carelessly, the feet will not fit and the head will be too big, so we will give you some important tips on "looking and drawing". Just by paying attention to the key points, the sketch will change dramatically.
On the second day, we finally start coloring with watercolors. Children are often unsure of where to start painting, but once they understand the characteristics of the paints, they can decide for themselves.
The chicken's red face cannot be recreated exactly using the red paint straight from the tube, so we experiment with colors. We need to mix all the colors except black to recreate the face, so we keep experimenting with mixing paints.
All of our teachers are always amazed at how thoroughly they work with even the younger students. If Jakuchu were alive today, I would love to show him this painting and be moved by it all together!
The masterpieces that pass through the children's bodies are completed as "masterpieces that could only be painted at this time," and all the instructors are moved.
You did a great job!
( I think the name of the work I copied this time is written in clear letters on the back of the painting: "Ito Jakuchu: Rooster with Rising Sun.")
