The assignment for the third week of May is to learn how to paint a picture like Monet's Water Lilies using watercolors.
In the first and second weeks we practiced using paint with a lot of water in it, but this time we will use less water.
Monet left about 240 works of water lilies, and I chose six of them this time. ↓From here, each person can choose their favorite work and create the work.
The subtle mixture of colors on the surface of the water is achieved by applying paint directly to the paper and mixing the colors on the screen. The details of the floating water lilies, the depth, and the traces of Monet's brush strokes are gradually added.
This time, I was conscious of using less water and giving the details the image of "laying" the color down rather than "painting" it.
I think this every time, but it becomes even more beautiful when framed. This month, everyone worked hard with watercolors!
